Making an Impression

The luxurious entryway creates an invitation highlighted in the custom winding staircase that is a glorious throwback to a time of long, slinky dresses and expensive cigars. Step into the formal living room with beamed ceiling, generous fireplace, and custom sapphire blue wall treatments which highlights the shape of the room and the vintage crown molding. Follow the French doors out to the cobblestone patio and enjoy a glass of wine by the outdoor fireplace.

The expansive refurbished kitchen showcases the original icebox and features a gas cook top, a butcher block peninsula, Carrara marble countertops, an exterior terrace and breakfast nook along with a formal dining room. The oversized office/den is clad in mid-century modern sugar pine and the original leaded glass door to the sunroom invites warmth and light into the space.

What's in a Name?

Constructed is 1912 as The Boulevard Inn, this stately mansion was once the entertainment center for Seattle’s “social elite.” The owners envisioned the Boulevard as more than just an Inn; their desire was for a quietly elegant atmosphere where their clientele could dine in intimacy and dance in the ballroom and lighted terraces. Frequently visited by such personalities as Sophie Tucker, Ethel Barrymore, George Cohan,

The Boulevard Inn operated though the late 1930s when famed architect Elizabeth Ayer redesigned the Inn and converted it to her private residence. In 1980, a Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Famer purchased the property and resided there. She then renamed the property Ol’ Yeller.
